Current Beauty Favorites
Hello again friends.
Today we are talking current beauty favorites {+ two non makeup faves}.
I’ve been breaking out a lot on my cheeks *thx mask-ne* so I’ve been staying away from new products and holding tight to my tried and true favorites. This isn’t my “everyday makeup routine” because if you notice, we are missing a few products for that. But if you want to watch my current makeup routine, click here.
So let’s get into it:
♡ Milk Makeup Highlighter in LIT
If you know me or have been following for some time, you know I’m all about the dewy glow! This highlighter helps me achieve that glow. I only apply it to the high points of my face aka where light would natural hit it: cheek bones and the bridge + tip of my nose. I do this under my foundation so it looks like I have this “glow from within” vibe going. I’m very into it.
I don’t think I have super dark under eyes, but because of my sensitive skin or eczema {or both??} I get some darkness + redness on the inner corner of my eye. I know that green tint combats the redness, but this under eye brightener does the trick for me.
When I say I loooOooooOove this concealer, I mean it. It’s in a pot so it’s thicker, but I apply it with a concealer brush and it thins it out beautifully while also giving me maximum coverage. I use this under my eyes or to spot conceal on “no makeup, makeup” days. It looks sooo skin-like. This is also the perfect concealer to carve out your brows if you’re into that kinda thing.
Okay I know she’s expensive. But she also lasts awhile, in my opinion. I use the light contour shade to contour my nose {always love a good nose contour} and a mix of the light and dark shade to contour/bronze up my face. I didn’t use the top colors much before but I don’t like to waste, so now I use them as eye shadows! Win win.
LET. ME. TELL. YOU. I was never a “feather brow” or “bushy brow” or “boy brow” typa gal. Wasn’t into it. BUT, I am now. Kinda. I still personally love a thin brow on myself but I’ve been using this brow setter to comb them upwards and ????? it’s so good??? My brows naturally point downwards *rolls eyes* like that’s pretty rude of them, right? But this brow gel is like… really strong lol I love it.
♡ L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara
I’ve tried soooOooOoo many mascaras from the drugstore to Sephora and this L’Oreal one is my fave. It’s more affordable and gives me Too Faced Better Than Sex + Lancôme Monsieur Big vibes. But like, not costing me my first child.
♡ Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude
Do I need to even talk about this one? I’m a broken record when it comes to this lipliner. It’s perfect for my lip/skin tone and I can over line my lips without making me look like Miranda Sings. No shade to Miranda Sings. Charlotte Tilbury has a range of colors for her lipliners, so if this one isn’t your cup of tea, try a different shade. Thank me later.
♡ Colour Pop Super Shock Highlighter
I love a good highlighter and I love a dewy glow, I said this before right? This one can go from “ooOooOo a natural glow” to “DAYYUMM, she’s glowing to the gods”. We love a versatile queen.
♡ Quay Blue Light Blocking Glasses
Pro. Tect. Your. Eyes. Like let’s do that. I’m not judging you for being on your phone, iPad, and laptop 24/7 but your eye doctor might. So let’s block out as much blue light as we can to save our vision, prevent headaches, eye strain, and fatigue. Plus these are cute. So everyone wins.
♡ Elizabeth and James Nirvana White Perfume
Do you have a ~signature~ scent? This is mine. I’ve tried many different fragrances and some that I actually liked and wore. But this will always be my favorite. I don’t wear as much fragrance anymore because quarantine + I try not to wear it when I’ll be with/holding my son aka 24/7. But this perfume will always be special to me.
So there it is. My current makeup/beauty favorites. Are you into this kinda content? Let me know and I can talk about my skincare faves or round two of my beauty favorites! Whatever you want.
That’s all I got for ya today.
Sending you all some love + light.
xx, Laurena
