What is up beauty babes!

So for those of you who are subscribed to the Beauty Babes Newsletter (which, if you’re not, hello, whatcha waiting for? chop chop! lol) then you’ve already had exclusive first access to this info! But by extremely high demand, I’ve decided to post it to the blog so anyone and every can access it.

So, today we’re talking about one of the most requested topics I get asked about: my skincare routine.

To give a little bit of background on my skin, I have normal to dry skin. For those who know me, there’s a common misconception about my skin type. My face skin is normal to dry. But because I have eczema, my body skin is extremely dehydrated and sensitive- my face, however, is not sensitive. With that out of the way…

Let’s jump into the products I use!

Makeup Remover:

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes

I’ve used these makeup wipes for YEARS now. I tried the different versions of the Neutrogena wipes as well as other brands, but these always get the job done without drying out my skin or leaving a heavy residue on my face.

Tip: I buy these from Costco because they come in a huge pack for less, and they also come with travel sized packs!

Exfoliater:

Laura Mercier Face Polish

Have you ever smelled this face polish?! It’s fabulous. But so is the fine grains in this polish that gently, but effectively help exfoliate the skin. This polish is gentle enough to use 2-4 times a week but also tough enough to properly exfoliate Tommy’s beard area!

Tip: Exfoliate in the morning. It’s the best time to sweep away all the junk your skin tries to get rid of in your sleep.

Cleanser:

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

I used to keep this cleanser in a rotation with other cleansered that I enjoyed using, but after a year or so of doing that, I could tell a positive difference in my skin during the months that I would use this Soy Cleanser. It’s so gentle but due to the borage seed oil, it does a great job at making my skin feel super soft and clean without stripping the natural, healthy oils from my skin.

Tip: Keep your eye out for Sephora 100-point perks or gifts with purchase at department stores like Nordstrom, because they often have deluxe sized samples of this cleanser!

Toner:

Fresh Rose Floral Toner

I haven’t used a toner in a very long time and I honestly didn’t feel the need to use one. But I got this in a gift with purchase and fell in love with it! It helps to hydrate my skin, is alcohol-free, and has an amazing floral aroma. A huge plus for me is that it’s a spray bottle! I feel that I save more product since I don’t have to use a cotton pad.

Tip: Spray this over your makeup as well to set your makeup and hydrate your skin at the same time!

Serum:

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Serum

This has been a more recent buy for me. But (clearly) I enjoy the Fresh Rose line. This is just a brand and line that really works well for the dehydrated parts of my skin without over hydrating the more normal parts of my skin. The Angelica leaf extract helps your skin retain moisture throughout the day!

Tip: Bring this product down your neck to ensure your neck stays hydrated as well!

Hydrate:

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream

This is a game changer right here! After the first time using this cream, I instantly felt and saw a difference in my skin’s texture! I had a dry patch along my jaw, and about fifteen minutes after applying this cream, the dry patch significantly decreased and the texture was almost gone. It was amazing! I use this both day and night. I really, really recommend this face cream!

Tip: Once I’m done patting this into my skin, I use the small amount left on my palms to rub it on my hands and use it as a luxurious hand cream!

Those are the products I use almost every single day to cater to my skincare needs. But the next group of products we’ll talk about are those I use to occasionally treat my skin and the products I use to focus on whatever specific concern I want to tend to.

Treat:

Breakouts

GlamGlow Super Clearing Mud Mask

For me, this is an oldie but a goodie. I use this mask to both prevent and treat breakouts. My pores always look smaller and clearer after using this mask! This mask has {super complicated} trade marked technologies that help pull the toxins in your skin to the surface to really detox your skin! I’ve gotten so many of my family members using this as well.

Tip: Since this is a pricey mask, instead of using it all over your face, I often spot treat with this. What that means is instead of spreading this over your whole face, only use this on any breakouts or problematic areas.

Dr. Dennis Gross Acne Eliminating Pads

OH. MY. GOSH. This product is a god-sent. Right after high school, I had constant breakouts and I had no idea what they were from. It could have been hormonal, but I have no idea til this day! One day, I bought these pads and over the course of a month and a half, my acne was COMPLETELY GONE! I was amazed. I learned that not only does this product help in fighting oil gland blockage, but it helps to brighten any acne marks that might have been left behind. Now days, it doesn’t take that long because I’ll use these pads twice a day as soon as I start to feel a breakout coming!

Tip: I use one pad twice a day, but if you have more sensitive skin, use it just once a day.

Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Gel

Great things come in small packages! If you’re someone who washes their face at least twice a day (it should be all of us!) and have a skincare routine, you also know that once a breakout start forming, even under the skin, you can feel it. That’s already when I start applying this clearing gel. When I do that, the breakout usually never appears on top of the skin! But you can also use this on an active breakout. It’ll just take a little longer to get rid of the breakout, but will definitely still work!

Tip: I never used to apply this when I knew I would wear makeup on top of it because it would create a dry patch. But now I know to really hydrate the skin if I’m going to use this under makeup.

Dehydration

Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask

Oh my lanta, y’all! This face mask is SO extremely hydrating and plumping, that I bought TEN. Tommy’s mom bought this for me for my birthday, and I hadn’t tried it yet, but once I did, I fell in love. Of course it has egg white and egg yolk extract, but the coconut extract helps to nourish and hydrate the skin!

Tip: I leave this mask on my face basically until it’s dry! I don’t know if it’s scientifically accurate, but in my mind, it means that my skin soaked up all the serum that was on the mask! Anyone else think that? Just me..?

Dr. Jart+ Water Replenishment Sheet Mask

This was the mask I was completely obsessed with before I tried the Egg Cream mask! My younger brother, Austin, introduced this one to me and it was my go-to whenever my skin was extra dehydrated. The marine collagen helps to plump up fine lines and wrinkles, and the chamomile flower water helps to hydrate the skin! I always take one of these with me when I travel! Using a hydrating mask before and after a flight is a must for me.

Fresh Rose Face Mask

*rolls eyes, another Fresh product

I know, I know! Clearly, this Rose line from Fresh made a strong impression on me! This is another hydrating face mask I use to help plump my skin. What I love about the Rose line is that it has cucumber extract and aloe vera, which is very soothing and cooling for the skin!

Tip: If you have a dry patch but also a different area that’s breaking out, multi-mask! That means to apply a hydrating mask on your dry patch and a clearing mask on your breakout!

Dullness:

Glam Glow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment

So first off, I know that this is the Dullness category and this is called a “Firming Treatment” but for me, this really helps to brighten my skin! The different types of algae and Icelandic kelp in this mask is what helps with the firming, but that also brightens the appearance of my skin!

Tip: Use this mask around your eyes (but not too close!) and around your lips to firm, then apply a hydrating mask afterwards. The skin around those areas tend to get loose/wrinkle-y the quickest.

PHEW! I know that was a lot, but these are my must-haves to maintain healthy, clear, and hydrated skin! Of course, no one’s skin is perfect and we all have our fair share of breakouts. But all we can do is the best we can!

I hope you enjoyed an exclusive first look into my skincare routine! Remember, you are a BEAUTY BOSS and you’re beautiful!
